NUCLEAR WARFARE (Germany) “War is unleashed” (CD) – Recorded, mixed and mastered at Lederfabrik Studio, Mai 2004 – Produced by Miriam, Fritz + Nuclear Warfare 2004 – Cover by Achim Merath – Artwork by Miriam Storz – All bands pictures by Jens Schramm – All music by Nuclear Warfare – All lyrics by Nucleator & Fritz – Intro by Sebastian Listl – Backing vocals by Sarina, Steffi, Timo & all of Nuclear Warfare – Self released 2004.- I thank again to my friend Miriam, to give me this great disc, thanks sincerely! This is the first album of the Teutonic Thrash Metal band NUCLEAR WARFARE!
Excellent presentation, when I was with Miriam in Stuttgart, she herself gave me this disc and she said to me that I got the limited edition of the album which comes with little soldiers in the case, fucking great! The cover is tyrant, this war topic has always characterized to this band, and it’s like their lethal characteristic seal. In addition, modesty apart, I feel proud to have the disc signed by Miriam and Andy “Nucleator” Schramm, both friends mine :)
This album contains 9 themes, the first is a totally warlike Intro, you feel like you were right in the field of extermination, in the world war heat, we listen to many arms shooting and alert signs, this macabre Intro opens for “Warfare”, fast and demolishing Thrash Metal, this is my cup of tea, I have no doubt! The speed and power of the set performed by the bass-drums-guitars are going to catch you immediately, we have then the theme that gives the name for this album “War is unleashed”, the choirs always are an important part for NUCLEAR WARFARE, they have basically an 80’s sound, but with some picks of modernity also, they are not classified in any school, I’d rather say that they are an original and addictive band of German Thrash Metal, this theme is the longest with 5' 04”. Soon we follow with “Kill”, excellent mastery of instruments and good technique of these guys, the voice of Nucleator is barbaric, but it’s not very well worked here, I am glad to realize that the vocal register evolved and now we can listen to it, inspiring us in the latest album of NUCLEAR WARFARE “We come in peace”;) This theme is “the most modern” so far, the tempo is slow and somehow they have lost the weapons of the beginning.
An excellent name has the following song “Thrash Squad”, a beginning ala IRON MAIDEN opens the song, the percussion is unholy and the bass is holocaustic, the fast tempo of the beginning does not stay again, it diminishes so the guitars can be stressed, here we listen to good solos in the middle and the brutal choirs. Then follows “Predator”, it begins mysteriously, it is a cruel, unpredictable theme, I think that I need more beers! Without a doubt these Germans have ideas and enough skills to shape those ideas in their music, cheerzzz for that! Great performance of the guitars by Turrican and Sebastian Listl.
The seventh theme is “Inner War”, quite versatile song, with constant changes in the tempo, although the choir is too repetitive! Then continues “Warlust”, this song is more old school than the others, it’s in the vein of DESTRUCTION/SLAYER, technique and feeling guaranteed! It is one of the best themes of this album. By the way, I wanted to stand out, before I forget it that the songs of this album have long instrumental passages, where the solos unfold with a lot of strength, we close with “Thrash ‘em down”, this song is going to teach you what is the meaning of Thrash Metal, I hope that you’re prepared for the mosh and stagediving that this necrosong is going to give you! It is my favourite, excellent ending for this thrasher bloodbath!
This is the first of delivery of NUCLEAR WARFARE, that they have passed with very good grade, buy this album and become immersed in a tyrant headbangin'!!!!

NUCLEAR WARFARE (Germany) “We come in Peace” (Promo CD) – All songs by Fritz, Listl and Nuclear Warfare 2004/2005 – Self released 2006. - I thank for this disc to my friend Miriam Storz, drummer of NUCLEAR WARFARE, who gave me this CD personally :)
This is a CD-ROM, with a different cover from which would be the definitive one for the CD (no Promo) “We come in Peace”, released and recently available for sale in the official page of these Germans.
This disc (previous to the full-length) has 11 songs, we begin with “Trained to Kill”,for fuck’s sake what a torture!!!!!! Excellent intro, quite old school! These boys are in the DESTRUCTION/WHIPLASH/KREATOR vein, such a control of the instruments!, I am kind of knocked out, I really expected a good Thrash Metal band but I did not wait for a sooooo great one, what a massacre!!
We follow with “Nuclear Madness”, these guys don’t have label because they don’t want! How many would be queuing to sign so dedicated Thrashers?, it is not common to find bands formed in the XXI century with a lot of creativity and inspiration towards the riffs, the changes and the solos, with that freshness of long ago, the majority just rip-off riffs from consecrated bands and carry the false flag of retro-Thrash, NUCLEAR WARFARE shits on all those bands!! We follow with “Under the Banner of lies”, with a little more New School sound, the choirs have protagonism in this theme, it has a goddam solo almost in the end and immediately later a reporter is speaking about the North American military service, the voice of Andy goes a little rougher and again the choir repeats “Under the Banner of lies”. The fourth theme is “Thrash Metal Tank”, this tank is hard to kill!! Again a sound more old school but with constant unpredictable changes that make of this album a devastation from the beginning to the end! Great work of the Sebastian Listl guitars, they stand out easily… We follow with “Unholy Genesis”, a more worked intro than makes us always remember the skill of these Teutonic thrashers, soon comes a pounding sound produced by the Miriam’s percussion followed by the shouts of my friend Andreas “Nucleator” that create the basic sound of NUCLEAR WARFARE. The sixth song is “Lex Tallionis”, SLAYERRRRRRR \m/ aaarrrghhhhh! Such insane minds handle these guys, this slayerish theme is super enthusiastic, mosh to the utmost, you are going to shit your pants because of this excessive headbanging, NUCLEAR WARFARE shows no mercy for us! At the end of the song a march percussion is listened (a sort of Minstro) that gives step again to the corrosive vocals of Andy. The following song is “Warmaster”, the tempo is fast and the drums are pounding, if you are a lover of the good Thrash direct to the vein with an extreme madness, this is your band! Shit, I like this! I don’t know if I will be able to resist all the album, I am already vomiting all the green beans I ate in the lunch :S
Soon and without no intro follows “We come in Peace”, the song that gives name to this album, again it’s a great assault! But, fuck!, If you remember I had told you that this is not a professional CD physically, it’s only a promotional CD-ROM, and unfortunately there are faults in the recording, this song is cut up in the middle! Then followed these songs: “Collapse of Reality”, “Rolling Thunder” and “After War”…
Well, I stayed not satisfied because I haven’t been able to listen to the complete album, but, hey! The professionally printed one is just released, and just in the month of my birthday, It should mean something! Hahaha, please don’t hesitate in acquiring it as soon as possible, obviously if you think you are a real Thrasher and lover of the Underground!!, buy now or cry later when you see this gem “Sold Out”. Recommended only for maniacs!!!!
