Interview for DEATHTHRASHER MAGAZINE by ARMANDO MUTILATOR :

DT:
Hello MIA, How
do you feel today.... when did you start playing?
Mia: Hail! I'm
fine thanx.
I started to play the guitar in 1988 but DRACENA wasn't founded until
1994.
DT: Who designed
the DRACENA’s logo?
Mia: I did,
it’s a hobby of mine to design and paint. I do all the artworks and lay
- outs for DRACENA.
DT: All the
members of DRACENA are natural from Sweden?
Mia: Yes, we
are all natural born Swedish Metallers.
DT: Do you
remember your days in DEATHWITCH? ... do you consider “Triumphant
Devastation” (1996) like a cult piece?
Mia: I think
it's cult, it was an honour to participate in that recording and also a
great experience for me. I still listen to it and I like both the
production and the songs.
DT: What
memories do you have about your first day in DRACENA?
Mia: Chaotic
hehe. I had to teach everyone how to play, none of the first memebers
had ever played an instrument before.

DT:
Do you think
that wearing chains, blood, make-up and all that stuff is important for
you image?
Mia: Image is
an important piece to enhance the music and what you want the audience
to experience with you work. What I wear on the pictures I wear when I
go out at the pub or to my work. I wouldn’t call our image extreme, it’s
just the way we are.
DT: Are you into
Serial Killers?... do you know who is THOMAS QUICK? ...tell me your
opinion about people like HENRY LEE LUCAS and RICHARD RAMIREZ please
Mia:
I read about Serial
- Killers, but I don’t have any special interest in these kind of people.
I know THOMAS QUICK who’s supposed to be the worst Serial Killer in
Sweden, but it seems like he’s a big liar and that the only thing he
knows about those murders he claims to have done is what he has actually
read in criminology magazines, there are no actual proof that he has
murdered all those people.
I have no opinion of LUCAS or RAMIREZ.
DT: Actually,
what topics do you consider in your lyrics?
Mia: The lyrics
are mainly about blood and pain and hatred and anger, short stories of
demons and witches and dragons and dungeons. The last album is based
loosely on Dantes Inferno.
DT: Are you into
drugs?
Mia: Not at all,
never been.
DT: Do you
remember PUTREFACTION MAGAZINE?
Mia: Nope.
DT: What CD's /
bands have you been listening to lately?
Mia: Today I've
listened to 220 VOLT - Power Games, FATES WARNING - Perfect Symmetry,
WOLF - Black Wings, W.A.S.P - The Last Command and SLAYER - Show no
Mercy.
